Tell Sidewalk Toronto to reconfigure their affordable housing plan and release information on the Quayside land transaction!
Google/Sidewalk Labs has partnered with Waterfront Toronto to develop a new testbed neighborhood ‘from the internet up’ on vacant land along Toronto’s central waterfront. Sidewalk is focusing on new technologies to market and sell the plan to residents, but the bottom line is that they will be creating homes for 5,000 new residents to live in. They claim to have an “unprecedented plan for affordable housing,” yet their housing plan is incredibly inadequate to what the city needs and initially asked for. Join our fight for the right to affordable housing in Quayside, and tell Sidewalk Labs to remodel their plan. This campaign has been developed to fight for permanent and deeply affordable housing for Quayside.
